Packing Packing Packing

I would like to apologize for my week of being gone. Surprisingly it is that time of year again… PACKING TIME. Yep you read that right, I am packing to head back to college. I don’t know about you but for me packing in general brings a mix of emotions with it. I’m happy yet filled with anxiety at the same time. So needless to say this past week has been a hectic one.

Enough about the stressfulness, let’s move on to the exciting part of moving! I love to decorate, and I do mean love! I can’t wait to get into my room and start playing with all of the possibilities. I plan on showing you a before I decorate picture and an after with my personal touch picture. Oh and I still have a few photos left from my previous post “series”. So stay tuned.

Stripes Stripes Stripes

This purple and black striped top, was another top in the box. I had literally completely forgotten about it. So when I saw it I was stunned. How could I throw such a fierce top like this one outWell now that I have it back I am not in any way letting this one go. I love how the sleeves of this top are flowing yet the body of the top is slightly huggy material. J

What do you think about the top? J

A Pile of Rumpled Clothes

Last year, I did a little spring cleaning so to speak, and I completely cleaned out my closet. Leaving me with a huge box of clothes i didn't want. Now it is a year later and well that box is still sitting in the corner of my room. My parental unit decided that holding the box for this long was unnecessary and it was time to let the clothes go. I couldn't agree with them more! J

So just to make sure I truly wanted to part with all of  the items in the box I emptied it. *Long Pause* Yes you guessed it I found items that I forgot I had/like. So the next couple of posts will be about the items that I just couldn’t part with.

The teal top is the item that I just could not let go. While I was wearing this outfit, I kept thinking "what does this remind me of?" And then it hit me like a ton of bricks! I look like a Tiffany's box. The teal top is the box and the white cardigan is that beautiful bow. Don't you agree? J

Optical Illusion ??

Once upon a time in a land far far away, there was a place where it never rained, it was always sunny and beautiful. That is where I would like to live. J
I woke up this morning and took a peak outside. It looked beautiful, so I thought to myself, “ Self, now is a perfect time to go outside and take some photos of your outfit.” . Well as you will see in these photos, it looks like the sun is blinding. Don’t let it fool you, just looming in the near distance is a huge, gargantuan rain cloud. So needless to  say I quickly took my pictures and by the time I made it inside the down poor started. But I don’t care, you ask why, well because I feel I look super cute today with my peachy top, feather necklace, cute shoes and jeans. Personally I think I can make the day shine in my outfit alone. (yes that was an attempt at humor, yes I know it sounded cheeses, I’ll try not to do that again). J

Blasé

Tuesday you arrived way faster than expected. Last time I checked it was Friday then BAM it was Tuesday, I don’t know where my days are going.

Any who, today will be spent doing the essentials laundry, cleaning, running some errands etc. You know the usual, so while I get all of that done. I thought. “why not look cute doing it?”. So that’s exactly what I did. J

Lunch Date

I love lunch dates. You may be asking why, well the reason is simple there early enough in the day that I can take a nap after. (it may sound silly or childish, but this woman needs her naps).

In all seriousness though, today I am having a lunch date with a few friends that I haven’t seen in awhile. I’m slightly nervous but very excited. I love catching up with people and seeing how they’ve grown.

What is your favorite part of catching up with old friends?

Pool Day

Today is one hot day, and I do mean one hot day!

What better way to cool down then, by the pool.

The little things::

I have my floppy hat handy along with my sandals and maxi dress as a cover up.
The pool was warm, similar to a bath tub temperature. Perfect for relaxing tanning, oh and gossiping with the ladies.

Leopard Print? How can I resist

Today is a beautiful sunny day, and I have no plans. So I thought I should be ready for anything. J

What better way to be ready for any type of affair, then with a maxi dress! I thought I could add a little pizzazz with a leopard print blazer. I’m sure I could have done something with some more color, but it’s a little late for that. J

The little Details::

This outfit is oh so comfy, so while I sit around figuring out what my day will hold. I can do it with comfort and style J

Concert Goer

I haven’t been to many concerts, but the few that I have been too were well worth the money. I was surprised by a family member with free tickets to a concert! How exciting right!! J

The free tickets were for the Rihanna LOUD Tour. I don’t listen to her music much (other than what’s on the radio). But I figured A) when would be the next time that I got free concert tickets and B) If most of her songs are on the top ten she cants be that bad.

Here is what I wore to the concert:: J

We ended up having amazing seats we were literally dead center. Her show started with the opening act. Some signer called Jcole. I had never heard of him before that night, but there were tons of screaming girls. So I’m figuring hes a well known up comer.

When he was done there was roughly a 45 minute intermission. Then……… It was show time!
The visual effects were amazing, the lighting, the huge screen behind her etc. Her dancers were amazing!! You could tell they worked hard to make this show great. Oh and Rihanna’s costumes were spectacular.J

Now for me to be slightly picky. I thought her voice was… ummm…. nothing like what I hear on the radio.

Other than that I would have to say it was a fantastic concert, and well worth the money. J

Go to outfit ?

I wasn’t quite sure what to wear today. So I did my somewhat go to outfit. The signature pair of jeans, a nice billowy top, and the staple cardigan. I guess this look could be considered the laundry day outfit.

(A few minutes pass) Now that I think about it, it has been extra muggy out lately.  Why I picked jeans is still unknown. Add the fact that I brought a cardigan with me *sigh* just a mystery. Looking back as I write this, (mind you I’m sitting in these clothes, and I can change out of them at any time). I don’t think this was the smartest clothing decision I could have made.

Any who, I'm wearing this outfit for better or worse.
I think this ensemble would be better suited during the Fall months. What do you think?

Work Work Work

I can’t remember the last time I didn’t have a summer job. For the past couple of summers I have been working at the same place. Their clothing rule has always been changing when I first worked there It was you could wear whatever color top you wanted but your shoes and plants had to be black. Then it was you could wear whatever color top as long as you have something black over it (like a sweater). Then it was you could only wear black nothing else. Well this summer they are back to the 90% black rule. You can wear a colored top as long as there’s something black over it.

Since I have been there so long and the rules are always changing. I found it easier to wear all black and I could  add a pop of something cute (preferably with color). J

This top has a cute bow at the collar of the shirt, oh and I almost forgot my POP of color. It just happens to be a very attractive teal watch . J

sequences on the shoes, add a slight shine to the lower half
of the outfit J

What was your favorite summer job?
